“A thing of beauty is a joy forever”. “First impression is
the best impression”. Maybe, women have imbibed these facts centuries ago and have always taken care of their looks.
Be it home remedies, complicated treatments, hairstyles or makeup. Women have always tried to put their best foot forward.
Today, even men have come to understand the importance of maintaining one’s appearance. Earlier, people used to use
the essence of flowers and herbs to make them look attractive. But, today, the cosmetics industry is very well developed.
Products and treatments are more personalized, depending on the skin type, age and choice. Here, I have covered a few topics
ranging from complete skin care, aroma therapy to choosing the correct make up. Now, let’s jump into the world of beauty.

There are a variety of skin care procedures depending on
the skin type. So, first let us classify different skin types.
- Oily Skin: Oily skin tends to be shiny with enlarged pores, and is prone to blackheads & blemishes.
- Dry Skin: Dry skin feels tight, especially after cleansing, & has fine wrinkles, flaking & red
patches or may appear ashy or dull from dead skin buildup depending on one’s complexion.
- Combination/Normal Skin: This skin type has medium pores, a smooth & even texture, good circulation, healthy
color, may tend toward dryness on the cheeks while being oily in the t-zone.
- Sensitive Skin: Sensitive skin tends to be thin, delicate with fine pores. It flushes easily, is prone
to broken capillaries, is frequently allergic & can be rashy.
- Aging or sun damaged Skin: This skin also feels tight with visible wrinkles, slack skin tone -- especially
around the cheeks & jaw line -- with leathery texture & broken capillaries.
